Guide for Setting up a channel with TikiLIVE

Do you want to publish your own channel on TikiLIVE’s EPG? Are you updating content for your channel on a weekly basis? Then we can promote your channel on TikiLIVE!  Just see the steps below,

Before being able to display your channel on the EPG, some requirements apply while setting up a channel with TikiLIVE, its White Label Operators, and Pre-load Manufacturers.

1. There must be a minimum of 72 hours of programming to begin with.

2. The channel’s EPG should be updated daily and will have programs scheduled for the next 72 hours.

3. Content must be a minimum of 720p or higher.

4. A minimum of 20% of content must be refreshed each month. For 72 hours of content, this is 14 hours of new content that must be added or swapped out each month.

5. Once the episodes are loaded on your channel, you may add and replace the episodes as you wish. Most companies leave the timeless episodes on the channel and just add more every week. Make sure that you maintain a minimum of 72 hours of content on your channel.

6. [ Optionally ] you may qualify radio channels too with your live radio stream or MP3s.

Once we have tested the channels, our team will send you the Distribution Agreements and get you into our catalog of network channels. Once you are in the catalog, our operators will be pitched your channel by our sales representatives at TikiLIVE.

1. We need a valid HLS stream at least 720p.

2. Stream to be CDN compatible:

  • Have the same path for the master playlist, media playlist and the ts segments.
  • Contain relative URLs to media playlists and ts segments.
  • To not contain user specific data in the file names such as wowza session id.

3. For the stream to play on all devices, the audio should have AAC audio format.

4. We will need access to the programming information. We suggest making this available in XMLTV format?

We have an example of our accepted format here:
