The Waldbühne in Berlin, one of the most appealing outdoor amphitheatres on the European continent, is the home of the summer concerts by the Berliner Philharmoniker. With over 20.0000 attendances, these are some of the most popular classical music concerts in the world. For the charismatic Latin American conductor Gustavo Dudamel this concert documents his debut with the Berliner Philharmoniker with whom he gives an outstanding homage to his home country. On the program: Chavéz – Symphony No. 2 ‘Sinfonia India’, Revueltas – Sensemaya, Villa-Lobos – Bachianas brasileiras, Ginastera – Estancia Suite, Marquez – Danzon No. 2, Salgan – A fuego lento, Bernstein – Mambo, Lincke – Berliner Luft.
